DRAFT FOR FINAL REVIEW — NOT ISSUED

The Civic Record introduces a source-linked collection on presidential power.

The Civic Record is preparing an initial public collection designed to help readers and reporters compare concise accounts of Donald Trump’s exercise of presidential power with the underlying records.

The first collection contains seven selected entries: the September 2026 voting pledge reported by PBS; the January 2025 clemency proclamation; the Senate’s 2020 and 2021 impeachment acquittals; the Helsinki remarks with the next-day clarification; the E. Jean Carroll civil judgments; the Stormy Daniels payment case and 34-count criminal verdict; and an evidence guide to Trump and the Epstein files. Readers can choose a short account, a context view or a full source view, search the collection and open the original sources.

Each entry states what was checked and what remains open. The collection distinguishes an official outcome from an allegation, an editorial assessment from a documented statement, and file integrity from truth and completeness. It does not claim to be an exhaustive presidential archive.

The project openly states its concern about Trump’s use of presidential power and its support for congressional checks. It invites readers who disagree to inspect the same sources and submit factual corrections for a public correction record.

Newsrooms and creators can use the site as a research starting point, check the source passages independently and link readers directly to the evidence. Inclusion of sources or organizations does not imply endorsement.
